Full System Modularity
Come work with us in defining the system interface standard for HARP-E. We are building a modular interface standard that will allow component manufacturers to build complete system modules that can be replaced and maintained independently of the whole aerial platform. This will unlock new commercial opportunities for innovative industry manufacturers seeking to develop their technologies independent of the established aircraft manufacturers restrictions. A whole platform application of Modular Open System Approach (MOSA) principles means system modules can be upgraded or maintained independently and off-wing of the assembled platform to maintain high operational readiness rates and minimize total lifecycle costs.

Multiple Module Manufacturers
Become an approved System Module Manufacturer! Flight Frame is building a platform that is segmented into different system modules. No winner-takes-all approach to system provider selection. Each system module will have multiple OEMs.
a) Powerplant Module: Generates electricity for the rest of the platform
b) Propulsion Module(s): Generates thrust and flight control.
c) Avionics Module: Controls communications, navigation, telemetry, etc.
d) Airframe Module: Provides structural support and mounting for all other modules.
d) Mission Module: Built by Flight Frame, designed to accomplish a specific mission.
e) Integration Module: Built by Flight Frame, the hub for all inputs and outputs to the other system modules and uses Flight Frame’s interface standard.
